The Stables!

I have finally gotten around to making the stables! The new hay blocks have been very useful for making a nice floor.

It'll house 14 horses, each with it's own pen. This is my white horse my husband brought back for me :)

Still need to tidy up the area around it.

1.6.4 Hurrah!

We finally updated our survival server to 1.6.4 from 1.5.2, it's made my cat very happy with his lovely rug in front of the fire!

So now the important things have been taken care of I went off to find some horses, after a rather sad incident involving a mine cart and a horse, I managed to get 4 horses and 2 donkeys back to my base. My task now is to build some awesome stables to house them as they're currently living in a pig sty.

I'm Lost!

I've had a fascination with mazes since I was a child and Minecraft is the perfect world to build them, so it had to be done!

This has been built on a survival server. The maze has a surrounding wall with an entry point on each side, the aim is to get to the tower in the middle. This has been built more as a pretty visual then a puzzle, the fact you can just place a block and run along the walls doesn't bode well for it! Although if you don't cheat it can take some time to find your way around.

The maze is meant to have an oriental feel to it.

Placing the pumpkins so none of the faces were showing was a mission, sometimes I find ones showing their faces. I swear someone must go in there and move them!

I could really do with some traps in the maze, maybe a project for the future!

Up, Up and Away

I decided to make a hot air balloon on our survival server that could be visible from my little village. It contains a portal inside the balloon which you can access via the nether. A friend of mine who also plays on the server managed to push two villages into the balloon using rail, which was a nice surprise to find when I went up there one day :)

This is a view from the village, an iron golem was kind enough to pose for the picture.
